The Improper Wife

Captain John Grayson, an embittered cavalry officer, learns that no honorable deed goes unpunished when he returns to England after Waterloo. Maggie Delaney, the unwed mother whose baby he delivered when on leave, is now, quite improperly, living on his family estate, masquerading as his wife.

To repay the absent Captain for her deception, Maggie has worked tirelessly to heal his fractured family, but when Gray arrives to confront her, she fears her safe life will be over.
